About the Role

The Payment Operations Manager will be responsible for the operational programs that drive all debit card operations, including supply chain and tooling. In this role, you will be the liaison with our bank partners and card processors to create an exceptional stakeholder experience. You'll be advocating for both our external customers and the internal ops teams that support them. Additionally, the role will lead efforts to implement operational efficiencies and reductions in support tickets regarding our debit card operations. This role will partner with internal stakeholders and teams to identify points of friction, deep dive into problem areas, resolve escalations, and gather data to support projects. The position reports into the Senior Manager - Banking & Payments in the finance department.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the high-level debit card operations point of contact for internal and external stakeholders across the company

  • Partner with the Product team on card pilots and managing the implementation of debit card and payment initiatives

  • Own and maintain vendor relationships including card processors, card printers and other critical vendors for successful debit card programs

  • Manage the collateral ordering and the supply chain aspects of our debit card programs in conjunction with 3rd party vendors to ensure members’ cards are issued on time

  • Become the primary systems admin for all card processing platforms and work with card processor partners to troubleshoot issues across the org to ensure smooth running of our card programs

  • Enter disputes into the card processor system and ensure they are resolved in a timely manner

  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiency of our debit card operations

  • Produce internal documentation for all debit card related processes

Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of previous operational debit/ credit card experience, with in-depth knowledge of card processing and systems (VISA, Mastercard, Fiserv, etc.)

  • Comfortable working with external partners on high visibility projects

  • Understanding of Visa systems (VOL, VDM, VROL, PAT) and/or Fiserv systems (Mainframe, Service Center, Web Portal, etc..) is a big plus!

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Meticulous attention to detail

  • Able to prioritize tasks in a high-volume, fast-paced environment

  • A good sense of humor and a down-to-earth personality. We work hard, have fun, and treat people with respect.
