Airfare Related to Medical Treatment

Airfare related to medical treatment is eligible for reimbursement with a flexible spending account (FSA), health savings account (HSA) or a health reimbursement arrangement (HRA). Airfare related to medical treatment is not eligible for reimbursement with a limited-purpose flexible spending account (LPFSA) or a dependent care flexible spending account (DCFSA). A benefits administrator will require information and documentation to prove that the air fare is in fact related to medical care.
